Three arcs, one season of Straw Hat adventures.
The eighteenth season of the *One Piece* anime, produced by Toei Animation, aired on Fuji Television from June 26, 2016, to April 2, 2017. Directed by Toshinori Fukuzawa, Satoshi Ito, and Tatsuya Nagamine, it continues the journey of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates. The season is divided into three story arcs.
The first arc, "Silver Mine," is an anime-original story in which Luffy and Bartolomeo are kidnapped by the Silver Pirate Alliance. This arc also serves as a lead-in to the film *One Piece Film: Gold*. The second arc, "Zou," adapts material from the middle of the 80th manga volume to the middle of the 82nd volume. In it, the Straw Hats arrive at Zou expecting to reunite with Sanji, only to find him caught in a personal conflict and the island under attack by the Beasts Pirates. The third arc, "Marine Rookie," is another anime-original story where Luffy raids a marine base for food after his crew runs out of supplies.
Only one opening theme is used this season: "We Can" (ウィーキャン!) by Kishidan and Hiroshi Kitadani. However, for episodes 753–756 in the Japanese broadcast, a special opening movie featuring scenes from *One Piece Film: Gold* was used due to licensing reasons and to promote the film.
