The seventeenth season of *One Piece* ran for 118 episodes on Fuji Television from January 19, 2014, to June 19, 2016. Produced by Toei Animation under directors Hiroaki Miyamoto and Toshinori Fukuzawa, it is the series' second-longest season. The story adapts the "Dressrosa" arc from the manga, covering material from the end of volume 70 to the middle of volume 80. After arriving on the island of Dressrosa, ruled by warlord Donquixote Doflamingo, the Straw Hat Pirates join forces with the Revolutionaries and the deposed princess Viola to liberate the kingdom. The season uses two opening themes: "Wake Up!" by AAA for the first 58 episodes, and "Hard Knock Days" by Generations from Exile Tribe for the rest. The first DVD compilation was released in Japan on July 2, 2014, with monthly volumes following. Funimation began streaming the English dub on December 1, 2020. For North American home video, Funimation reclassified the season as "Season Eleven" and, starting here, released both DVD and Blu-ray copies together.
